The rise of the ITIL simulation

By Linda King, G2G3

It's great to see simulations becoming more and more mainstream. Take the ITIL simulation for example. After a number of years promoting and developing the ITIL simulation, every decent ITSM vendor and service provider worth its salt has realized (or is starting to realize) that they are an invaluable tool in creating practical understanding of the potentially complex world of ITSM. G2G3 are now developing branded simulations for the majority of leading IT vendors including HP, BMC, Microsoft and many others. We also have a large, and growing, global partner network who will agree. We're also delighted to now be working with the itSMF in running a number of ITIL simulation showcase events for them across the UK.

Simulations are not just being adopted, they are being embraced. And this heralds a paradigm shift in the way people think, learn and change within organizations. About time too.

VizThink - The Great and the Gude

By Derek Watson, Creative Director, G2G3

Well, VizThink 08 is over and it has been very worthwhile. We attended some interesting sessions and met some fantastic people like Scott McCloud, John Grimwade and Karl Gude of Newsweek fame. We have tasked ourselves with creating an infographic to explain what G2G3 can do for you instead of the standard elevator pitch!

Easy!

A picture says quite a lot of words actually...

By Derek Watson, Creative Director, G2G3

A major part of the courses and design work we produce at G2G3 is the development of infographics to illustrate and complement the wordy and complex content we often have to produce.

A G2G3 contingent has just returned from San Francisco after attending VizThink 08, the premiere conference on the subject. We listened and scribbled with the world’s leading exponents and intend to add our findings to our knowledge and use our improved skills to enhance the portfolio we currently offer blue chip customers like DHL, E.ON, Reuters, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Computacenter.

And all they say all Designers do is ‘colour in’!

Stay tuned for some great design insights on this fascinating subject thanks to our trip!
